Schuyler Fisk Career

Career

Kristy Thomas, a director of the Baby-Sitters Club, made her film debut in 1995 as Kristy Thomas. Lane Leonard made her first appearance in the 2000 film Snow Day as Lane Leonard. Ashley is perhaps best known for her supporting role in Orange County's 2002 youth film "Leo Varadkar," opposite Colin Hanks and Jack Black. Ella Christiansen's appearance in the 2006 film "Taboo" included an appearance on One Tree Hill as Daytona in the 2005 episode "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" as Daytona, and an appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Ella Christiansen. In the 2011 film Restless, she played the overbearing and protective sister.

Fisk learned the guitar from her mother and performed in various musicals as a child. She began writing and performing her own songs at the age of 15 and then signed with Universal Records in 2004. She put her acting career on hold in favour of honing her craft as a performer and released a demo with Joshua Radin, with whom she toured for two years. The pair wrote a song titled "Paperweight" in early 2006. Radin introduced Fisk to Zach Braff, who in turn used the duet on his film The Last Kiss' soundtrack; the song was also included on the Dear John soundtrack. Several projects were soon after, including recording the song "I Just Remember Goodbye" for the film Gray Matters starring Tom Cavanagh, Heather Graham, and Bridget Moynahan, as well as "Waking Life" starring Christina Ricci.

Fisk escaped Universal in 2008, making it the most popular city in the world. Plans to unleash an EP were postponed in favour of releasing a full-length album, which was available digitally at several online stores on January 27, 2009. As of the week of February 4, 2009, Fisk's debut album The Good Stuff debuted at No. 10 on the charts. 1 on the iTunes Folk Charts. Fisk's album was ranked No. 1 on Amazon. In MP3 albums, 17 is at number 17 on the Folk chart. Various media outlets, including the New York Times, had a favorable reaction to the album. She then toured with Ben Taylor.

Fisk's second album, Blue Ribbon Winner, followed by her name Cassidy Barks, until she toured with Harper Blynn (who performed with her on the album's title track). On iTunes and Amazon, Fisk released Sounds of the Holiday in November 2011. Tracks included holiday favorites such as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," and "Silver Bells," as well as original Christmas songs. Out of the Blue, Fisk's band, released an album titled Out of the Blue in April 2012.

Fisk performed with Carl Anderson and Sam Wilson, who had appeared together as part of Sons of Bill. The trio formed The Restless Hearts, but the group renamed 'Me and My Brother' after a first tour. "Restless Heart" was their first single to be released.
