Atletico Madrid winger Samuel Lino has played down concerns over racism in Spain, insisting he has never encountered it while playing football in the country. Real Madrid's Vinicius Jnr has been outspoken on the subject after being the target of abuse on at least 16 occasions in recent years. The European nation is due to co-host the 2030 World Cup, but Vinicius believes the games should be taken away from Spain unless they take a stronger stance on racism.

Diego Simeone is involved in feisty touchline bust-up with Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl during Atletico Madrid's heated Champions League win

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone had a coming together with Borussia Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl on the touchline on Wednesday night as their respective sides did battle in the Champions League quarter-finals.  Atletico won the game 2-1, thanks to goals from  Rodrigo De Paul and Samuel Lino in the first half, which gave the hosts a half-time ascendancy in front of their own fans at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium.  Sebastien Haller then made it a tense ending for the hosts after grabbing one back in the 81st minute, but Atletico held on to secure a potentially vital one-goal advantage headed to Germany.
