Romelu Lukaku Life

Romelu Menama Bolingoli (born 13 May 1993) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays for Inter Milan and the Belgium national team as a striker.

Born in Antwerp, he began his professional career with Belgian Pro League team Anderlecht in 2009, where he made his senior debut at age 16.

He captured the league championship and the Belgian Ebony Shoe at the same time.

He joined Chelsea in 2011, but starred sparingly in his first season and joined West Bromwich Albion on loan in 2012.

He aided them to an unexpected eighth-place finish in the 2012-13 season, and he spent a year on loan at Everton.

He joined Everton in a permanent deal worth a club-record fee of £28 million in 2014.

Lukaku was born in Antwerp, Belgium, to Congolese parents. Roger Lukaku's father, Roger Lukaku, played professionally for football and was capped at international level by Zaire. On the Dutch-speaking Eén network, Lukaku was the subject of a television documentary series named De School Van Lukaku (Lukaku's School). Club career

At age 5, Lukaku joined his hometown team Rupel Boom. Lukaku was discovered by scouts of Lierse, a Belgian Pro League team with an established youth academy, after four seasons at Rupel Boom. He played for Lierse from 2004 to 2006, scoring 121 goals in 68 matches. Anderlecht bought 13 youth players from Lierse in the 2006 mid-season, including Lukaku, after Lierse were relegated from the Belgian Pro League. He spent three years with Anderlecht, scoring 131 goals in 93 games.

Lukaku started on May 13, 2009, and he stayed with Anderlecht until 2012. He made his Belgian First Division debut against Standard Liège on May 24th, 2009, as a 69th-minute replacement for defender Vctor Bernárdez. Anderlecht lost the match 1–0. Lukaku scored his first goal against Zulte Waregem in the 89th minute after being introduced as a replacement for Kanu on August 28, 2009. Lukaku's second goal was also his 300th birthday in his career. Inter won the 2020–21 Serie A for the first time since the 2009–10 season. Lukaku's season ended in 2020-21, with 24 league goals and 11 assists. He was the highest scorer on the championship team and the second highest scorer in the league, behind Ronaldo.

Lukaku returned to Chelsea, a decade after he had joined the club for a reported £97.5 million. Lukaku sparked controversy in late December 2021 when he claimed that he was "not happy" with Chelsea's situation, and that head coach Thomas Tuchel "has chosen to play with another method" comparing the teams's tactics with that at Inter Milan. Lukaku was a member of Belgium's Under-21 squad and scored a goal against Slovenia on his debut. Lukaku became Belgium's all-time goalscorer with 31 international goals after scoring the only goal in a 1–0 victory over Japan four days after equaling the record. Although this record was established by the Royal Belgian Football Association, FIFA only accepted 28 goals after a nullified international friendly against Luxembourg on May 26, 2014, where the former Belgium coach, Marc Wilmots, made seven substitutions during the game instead of the allowed six, which are not in accordance with the Game's rules.

Lukaku became Belgium's all-time leading scorer with 31 goals after scoring a goal in a 3–0 victory over Egypt on 6 June 2018. Bernard Voorhoof and Paul Van Himst also tied for three-way goalscorers.

Lukaku scored twice twice in a 3–0 win over Panama in their first group game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup on June 18th. In a 5–2 victory over Tunisia in the upcoming group match on Sunday, he scored twice more. Lukaku became the first player since Diego Maradona in 1986 to score two goals or more in consecutive World Cup matches. Belgium placed third place in the tournament and ended the tournament with four goals and one assist, earning him the Bronze Boot award.

Lukaku scored his 50th and 51st international goals in a 9-0 home win over San Marino in a Euro 2020 qualifier on October 10th. Lukaku scored twice in Belgium's first group match of UEFA Euro 2020, a 3–0 victory over Russia on June 12, 2021. In his team's last group match, he scored the last goal on June 21 in a 2–0 victory over Finland. In a 2–1 loss to Italy in the quarterfinals of the tournament, he scored Belgium's only goal of the season on July 2nd after missing a penalty late in the first half. Two days after the final Lukaku was selected as the sole Belgian player for the UEFA Euro 2020 Team of the Tournament, the tournament's sole Belgian player was named. He was in the striker's position.

Lukaku scored his 100th Belgium appearance against the Czech Republic on September 5th, scoring his 67th goal in the process.
