Paul Pogba Life

Paul Labile Pogba (born 15 March 1993) is a French professional footballer who competes for Serie A club Juventus and the France national team. He is best known as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, and deep-lying playmaker, but he can also be deployed as a left winger, attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, and deep-lying playmaker.

Pogba, who was born in Lagny-sur-Marne, joined Le Havre's youth team in 2007 before a long transfer to Manchester United two years later. Limitations convinced him to leave Italian side Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, where he helped the club win four consecutive Serie A titles, as well as two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana awards since starting his senior career with Manchester United two years ago. Pogba continued his as one of the world's most promising young stars during his time in Italy, winning the Golden Boy award in 2013 and the Bravo Award in 2014. After helping Juventus reach the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final, their first in 12 years, Pogba was named in the 2015 FIFA Team of the Year and the 2015 FIFA World XI.

Pogba's career at Juventus culminated in his return to Manchester United in 2016 for a then-world record transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million). The fee was the highest paid by an English club until 2021. He won the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season back. He was selected in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2018–19 season.

Pogba led France to victory at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, winning the Best Player award for his tournament appearances. He made his senior debut a year earlier and was named Best Young Player Award for his 2014 FIFA World Cup appearances. He later represented his country on home soil, where he finished as a runner-up before winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup and scoring in the final.

Early life

Pogba was born in Lagne, Seine-et-Marne, to Guinean parents. He is a Muslim. Florentin and Mathias are twin brothers who are born in Guinea and play for the Guinean national team and are also footballers. Florentin currently plays as a defender for ATK Mohun Bagan, while Mathias most recently played for ASM Belfort. Pogba was a fan of Arsenal as a child.

Pogba suffered from depression while being supervised by Jose Mourinho at Manchester United in March 2022.

It was revealed in August 2022 that significant sums of money had been requested from Pogba to prevent the broadcast of videos allegedly insulting him. Mathias Pogba, his brother, was accused of being complicit. Two investigations into extortion attempts were launched, one in France and the other in Italy.

Paul Pogba Career

Club career

Pogba started playing for the United States Roissy-en-Brie, just a few miles south of his hometown. He spent seven seasons with the club before joining US Torcy, where he served as captain of the club's under-13 team.

Pogba joined Le Havre, a professional team, after a one-year with Torcy. Pogba captained the under-16 team to the final phase of the club's domestic league in his second season with the Championnat National Des 16 Ans. In the final group phase, Le Havre came in second, behind Lyon and Nancy. Pogba has also established himself as a youth ambassador for his country.

Pogba announced on July 31 that he was leaving Le Havre to Manchester United's youth academy. The player's parents were stunned when the transfer was made, because it reportedly had a "non-solicitation deal" with Pogba, which was not only agreed to by the player but also his parents in 2006. Le Havre was allowed to sign Pogba to an aspirant (youth) deal as long as the player fulfilled specific age and scholarship criteria. Le Havre issued a formal statement on its website chastising Manchester United and the Pogba families. Le Havre has also confirmed that it intends to order FIFA to investigate the situation.

Manchester United threatened to sue Le Havre as a result of Le Havre's allegations, although Pogba denied that he was leaving Le Havre for financial reasons, which Le Havre President Jean-Pierre Louvel had alleged to be £87,000 and a house. Le Havre was also accused by Pogba's former club Torcy of using the same tactics it used when the club acquired Pogba from its youth academy. Torcy's official website released a press release condemning Le Havre's allegations on the day of his departure for England, saying, "We will not use the word'steal.' But the Le Havre recruiters of the club in Torcy behaved the same way with the team in Torcy." The club cited Le Havre's acceptance of allowing Pogba to obtain an amateur licence with the club without identifying Torcy as the club's primary reason. Manchester United was found not guilty of wrongdoing by a FIFA judge on October 7th, with the statement that Pogba was not contractually linked to Le Havre. Despite having the right to appeal, Le Havre officials reported that the club had reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Pogba. The terms of the deal were kept private.

Pogba made his Manchester United debut on October 7th, 2009, and made his debut with the club's under-18 team against Crewe Alexandra in a 2–1 loss. He had seven goals in 21 appearances during the 2009–10 under-18 campaign. The team came in first in their class, but they lost 5–3 on penalties in the play-off semi-finals to Arsenal. Pogba was a member of the Torneo Calcio Memorial Claudio Sassi-Sassuolo in Bologna, Italy, in April 2010. Pogba played for the team's academy team in the Premier Academy League for the first three months of the season in 2010-11. In November 2010, he was called up to the club's reserve team and made his debut on Saturday, defeating Bolton Wanderers 3-1. In the team's 3–2 victory over Portsmouth on January 10, 2011, Pogba scored a long-range goal dubbed a "piledriver." The team's victory enabled them to advance to the fourth round of the tournament. Pogba scored a similar goal a month earlier in a 3–2 loss to West Bromwich Albion in the Academy League, defeating them 3–2.

Pogba was one of four academy players promoted to the first-team squad by manager Alex Ferguson ahead of Manchester United's FA Cup fifth round match against Crawley Town, for which he was wearing the number 42 shirt. Pogba scored a goal in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup, helping the team win by a long stretch in the FA Youth Cup; he also played for the opening goal in the second leg, a 4–0 victory. Manchester United defeated Sheffield United 6–3 on aggregate to win their tenth Youth Cup title; Pogba started and played the entire match in both legs.

Ferguson revealed that Pogba will be with the senior team during the season, stating, "I mean, if we hold Pogba back, what's going to happen?" Ferguson said ahead of the 2011-12 season. He's going to leave. You know, in a few years' time, his deal will come to an end. So we have to give him the opportunity to see how he does in the first team and he has a natural ability." Pogba was recalled to the club's reserve team for the 2011–12 season, making his first appearance of the season on the team's opening Premier Reserve League match against Arsenal on August 15, 2011. Pogba scored the second goal in the team's second league match against Swansea City reserves on August 25, defeating the 6–0 team. He made his European debut in the second leg of the team's UEFA Europa League round 16 tie against Spanish club Athletic Bilbao, and Michael Carrick appeared as a replacement in the 63rd minute as Manchester United lost the tie 5–3 on aggregate.

Pogba had left the club after not agreeing to a new one, according to Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson on July 3, 2012. Pogba had signed for Juventus "a long time ago as far as we know." Ferguson also accused Pogba of disrespecting Manchester United, adding, "It is sad." To be honest, I don't think he treated us with any respect at all. I'm really glad that if [footballers] go on that route, they're certainly better doing it away from us." Juventus announced on July 27th that Pogba had undergone a medical examination at the club, and the transfer was completed on August 3rd, when he signed a four-year contract. On August 1st, he made his first appearance for Juventus in a pre-season friendly against Benfica in Geneva, becoming a 78th-minute replacement for Andrea Pirlo.

He was once more the object of mass media scrutiny after losing an early penalty against Ireland, causing former England international Gary Lineker to tweet: "Is Pogba the world's best player?"; France eventually came from behind to win the match 2–1.

Following a 5–2 victory, Pogba was able to recover his form in the quarter-finals of the tournament against Iceland on July 3rd, delivering his country's second goal of the night as he started the game that culminated in Griezmann's goal. Pogba was back in a deep-lying midfield role with Blaise Matuidi in a 4–2-3-1 formation four days later, and he continued to play a more integral role in the hosts' 2-0 victory over Portugal in a semi-final match against Portugal; he was then given more tactical responsibility, and he later helped create Griezmann's second goal of the game.

Jose Mourinho claims Paul Pogba 'lost a sense of who he is' after winning the 2018 World Cup - before giving his view on the former Man United star's FOUR-YEAR ban for doping after their fiery clashes

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 22, 2024
