Rini Wulandari (born 28 April 1990) is an Indonesian pop singer.
She won the fourth season of Indonesian Idol on July 28, 2007, making her the second female champion on the program.
She is the second youngest champion in Indonesian Idol history at 17 years old.
Early life
Rini Wulandari was born in R.Soetrisno and Sri Hartati Mardiningish. She is the youngest of four children in the United States. She came from a family of musicians. Her mother was a founding member of Quintana Band, and her father, who was a bassist when he was young, was a bassist. Rini became Quintana's lead singer, following in her mother's footsteps. Rini graduated from SMA Negeri 1 Medan in 2008.
Rini appeared for Idol in Medan, Alberta, on the second day of auditions. Rini made it into the top twelve of Indonesian Idol or other known Spectacular rounds on May 5th, 2007. She performed Warna's "50 Tahun Lagi" in the first round. Rini sang a version of Gloria Estefan's "Conga" during Percussion Night Week, gaining her a top-five finish. Christina Aguilera's "Reflection," Mariah Carey's "Emotions," and Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" were among Rini's on Indonesian Idol's "Because You Loved Me" and "Because You Loved Me." Rini made it to the final and took the title over Wilson with 52% of the audience.
