Playing career
Myler began his playing career with Widnes, playing in two games in the 2007 season.
Myler signed with Salford from Widnes in 2008 and helped Salford win the National League One title, scoring 25 times in 32 appearances, and numerous accolades, as well as the Cooperative Player of the Year award. Myler made his Super League debut against Crusaders on February 14th, scoring a goal in a Salford victory.
He signed a four-year deal with Warrington, making him the most expensive teenage signing in Rugby League history. Myler was promised a new deal that may have made him the highest compensated player in Widnes history. Martin Offiah, a Warrington agent, said he turned down the offer and instead preferred a four-year contract.

With less than five minutes to play, Myler was trapped in a tackle with Chris Hill of Huddersfield, and Myler unfurled his legs in the air while trying to milk a penalty. Hill was given a yellow card for the incident that resulted in a foul play in Leeds and resulting in the winning try. Myler played for Leeds in the 2022 Super League Grand Final, which was 24-12.
