Richard Winsor Life

Richard Winsor (born 4 January 1982) is a British actor and dancer.

Caleb Knight, the long-running BBC medical drama series's Casualty, from January 2014 to April 2017, where his character was killed off after being stabbed by a patient's relative. In 2010, he played Tomas in Vertigo Films' immensely popular British film StreetDance 3D, and he also appeared as Father Francis in Hollyoaks.

Tony Manero has appeared in the stage musical version of Saturday Night Fever in 2018 and 2019.

Richard Winsor is a trained dancer who has appeared in several Matthew Bourne productions.

He began working with Adventures in Motion Pictures (later to become New Adventures) on the US tour of Car Man in August 2001, and he continued in the role until early 2002, with tours in France and Japan.

In 2004, he co-produced Play Without Words, which attracted raves at the National Theatre and was later honoured two prestigious Olivier Awards.

With Bourne's 'Dorian', a dance/theatre version of Oscar Wilde's book A Picture of Dorian Gray' and 'Edward' in Bourne's Edward Scissorhands, he created and then performed 'Dorian' in Edinburgh's sell-out Edinburgh festival and London runs.

Richard worked with a Japanese dance company on a revival of Dorian in Tokyo in 2013.

Richard and Victoria Beckham appeared in Elle magazine in a special filming at Sadlers Wells in 2011.

Richard made his stage acting debut in 2008 with his portrayal of the demon in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, directed by Laurie Sampson at The Royal Playhouse Northampton, which attracted raves for his physical and emotional portrayal. Richard was educated at Ranby House and Worksop College, Nottinghamshire, before attending the Central School of Ballet from 1998 to 2001, as well as the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

During his third year with Ballet Central, he performed at the Kirov Masterclass in Sadlers Wells under the direction of Irek Mukhamedov.

During his last year at Central before graduating and successfully auditioning for Adventures in Motion Pictures, he performed with the Bejart Ballet in Bolero and in One Touch of Venus at the Royal Opera House in Bolero and in One Touch of Venus.
