Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa (born 22 August 1993), better known by his stage name Rayvanny, is a Tanzanian musician, singer, and recording artist signed under WCB Wasafi Records' leadership.

Rayvanny is best known for his song "Kwetu," which introduced him to the world.

Rayvanny was ranked by MTV Base as one of "Acts To Watch Out For" in 2017.

Career

Rayvanny discovered his love for music in 2011 while high school students. He was crowned the best in a rap freestyle tournament. Tip Top Connection, a music company, where he gained more success in his music career and collaborated with a number of musicians in 2012.

He decided to join WCB Wasafi Records, which is owned and operated by Diamond Platnumz, in 2015. In 2016, he released his first album, "Kwetu." It became a hit in East Africa.

Rayvanny was nominated for an MTV Africa Music Award in the category of Breakthrough Act 2016. He was also nominated for many music awards in 2017, including AEUSA's Best New Talent, Uganda Entertainment Award for Best African Act, and the BET Award for International Viewers' Choice in 2017.

Rayvanny established Next Level Music, his own record store, in 2021.

Rayvanny collaborates with Maluma on the topic "Mama Tetema" in November 2021. By the RIAA, "Mama Tetema" was classified disco de Oro in 2022.

In July 2022, he left WCB to concentrate on his own label, Next Level Music.
