Ral Francisco Martez-Malo Jr. (born in Miami, Florida) on August 7, 1965, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. * He is the lead singer of The Mavericks and the co-writer of several of their songs, as well as Rick Trevino's 2003 album "In My Dreams." Malo went back to school as a result of The Mavericks' disbandement in the early 2000s. *He has been in the Los Angeles Super Seven supergroup since 2001. The Mavericks were re-formed in 2012 and continue to tour extensively. They received the American Music Award for duo/group of the year in 2015.
