Pranav Mohanlal (born 13 July 1990) is an Indian actor, singer, and songwriter who works in the Malayalam film industry.
With his debut in his father's film Onnaman (2004) in a minor role, he followed him to a leading role in Punarjani in the same year.
For his role in Punarjani, he was named the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist.
He then decided to abandon films in favour of his studies.

Early life
Pranav Mohanlal was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, on July 13th, 1990, as the son of actor Mohanlal and Suchitra Balaji. Vismaya Mohanlal, he has a younger sister. K. Balaji, a Tamil film producer, is also a filmmaker, while his maternal uncle Suresh Balaje is a filmmaker.
In Ooty, Tamilnadu, Pranav completed his education from the Hebron School. He earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Pranav has a low profile and is known for avoiding the media. "I don't hate media," he said. It's just that I think that people have nothing to gain from knowing their personal lives. Career
Pranav made his screen debut in 2002 when appearing in a minor role in the action crime drama Onnaman, starring his father Mohanlal and directed by Thampi Kannanthanam. Ravisankar played Ravisankar, his father's son. He appeared in his first leading role in Punarjani, a drama starring Major Ravi and Rajesh Amanakara. He played Appu, a homeless kid who ran away from home because his parents cared for his younger brother more than him. He was awarded the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for his efforts. He took a break to concentrate on his education after that. He stayed away from film and was not keen on returning to film anytime soon because he was more interested in books and travel than cinema. In between, he appeared in a song in Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded in 2009. In an interview, Priyadarshan, a family friend, said, "He is a wonderful actor." Pranav began as an assistant director under Jeethu Joseph in the Tamil film Papanasam (2015), starring Kamal Hassan, a remake of Jeethu's Malayalam film, Drishyam, in which his father, Mohanlal, appeared in. He spent time as an assistant in Jeethu's latest film Life of Josutty (2015) before he departed. In September 2016, it was announced that he would be back as an actor in a film directed by Jeethu and produced by Aashirvad Cinemas. Aadhi, the action-thriller, began principal photography in August 2017 and was released in January 2018. In the film, he wrote, sang, and performed "Gypsy Women." The film was a commercial success grossing 35 crore in a month, and Aadhi received positive feedback, particularly for Pranav's parkour stunt; Pranav's parkour stunt; It was one of the year's biggest grossing Malayalam films. Arun Gopy's second film, Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu, was released in 2019 with mainly critical feedback.
