Odis Oliver Flores was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Garifunas from Belize on June 18, 1987. He is a Garifuna American. He grew up in Long Beach, California. Genasis claims that his influences include Cutty Ranks, Buju Banton, T.I., Ludacris, Tupac Shakur, Shabba Ranks, and 50 Cents.

Career
In 2011, G-Unit Records signed him to their brand. He unveiled his first official mixtape in 2012 under his G-Unit affiliation. He later joined Busta Rhymes' Conglomerate Records. Since being signed to Conglomerate Records, he has been releasing "Touchdown (Remix)" featuring Busta Rhymes and French Montana, as well as "CoCo." The former achieved well on the charts, peaking at number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Beyoncé performed "Everybody Mad" as part of her Coachella 2018 appearance and as part of her and Jay-Z On the Run II Tour.
