Nicholas D'agosto Life

Nicholas D'Agosto (born April 17, 1980) is an American actor.

He is best known for his role in Final Destination 5 and his recurring appearances in Heroes and The Office.

He appeared in the Showtime series Masters of Sex and the Fox series Gotham.

D'Agosto has also appeared in the film Trial & Error, which is also available in October 2018.

Early life

D'Agosto was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Deanna Rae (née Vellinga) and Alan D'Agosto, Omaha's biggest restaurant franchisee. His mother is from Sioux City, Iowa, while his father is from Omaha.

Andrew and Patrick, his two older brothers, as well as Julie and Katie, are his younger sisters.

D'Agosto was born Catholic and selected Genesius of Rome, the patron saint of actors, as his confirmation name. D'Agosto said he wanted to be a priest when he was young, but after he was ten years old, he started practicing improv.

D'Agosto was heavily involved in drama and theatre growing up, appearing in many plays and musicals. In sixth, seventh, and eighth grade, he competed in competitive forensics speech tournaments. He graduated from Creighton Preparatory School in 1998 and Marquette University, where he received a double major in history and theatre in 2002.

Personal life

In 2015, he married Andrea Bricco. They have one child, a boy.

Career

D'Agosto's big break came when he was cast as the ethics committee chairman Larry Fouch in the dark teen comedy Election (1999), when he was still a student at Creighton Prep. Alexander Payne, another Creighton Prep shaming, wrote and directed the film. When still in college, D'Agosto appeared in the film Psycho Beach Party (2000). He moved to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue a full-time acting career.

He has appeared on primetime television series including Boston Public, ER, Six Feet Under, Cold Case, House, Supernatural, and Without a Trace. In three episodes of The Office, he appeared. On the television show Heroes, he appeared in West Rosen.

D'Agosto spent three weeks at a cheer camp and worked with a licensed choreographer to get ready for the film Fired Up! Camilla Belle of Prada also appeared in From Prada to Nada, which is a loose adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. In 2011, Sam Lawton appeared in Final Destination 5.

D'Agosto played Tony Kirby in You Can't Take It With You in Fall 2012.

Dr. Ethan Haas, the fictional successor of pioneering sex researcher Dr. William Masters (of Masters and Johnson fame), appeared in Showtime's Masters of Sex as obstetrician Dr. William Haas in 2013. His appearance is based on two of Masters' actual associates.

In addition to reading the biography that Masters of Sex is based on, D'Agosto read The Fifties by David Halberstam, so prepare for the part of Dr. Haas. He also watched films from the 1950s and documentaries on journalist Edward R. Murrow, which included a lot of "individual footage of interviews with these sort of everyday people from that time period."

Graham Maddox, an OB/GYN surgical resident, appeared on Grey's Anatomy in late 2014. In the episode 'Risk', he left the show late November 2014.

In the role of Harvey Dent in the television series Gotham, D'Agosto appeared in early October 2015.
