Senegal's crown will be defended in the Ivory Coast as AFCON begins next Saturday, but which Premier League stars will be unable to participate in club action in the coming weeks?

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 3, 2024
AFCON is finally here, following months of rumors over which players will be ruled out of club action for up to four weeks. Following the most recent round of play, the continental tournament will take place from January 13 to February 11, with players having to join their national teams. This year's edition of the Ivory Coast will be held in Senegal, with Senegal as the reigning champions after defeating Egypt on penalties in the 2021 tournament (which took place in 2002).

Southampton's Nathan Wood's bid for Swansea's Nathan Wood increased by £10 million, with Russell Martin estimating him as a replacement for the England youth international in replacement for Armel Bella-Kotchap, Germany

Southampton have resoldered their offer for Swansea City defender Nathan Wood, who is estimated to cost about £8 million more add-ons. According to reports, the England U21 international told Swansea that he would like to work with former manager Russell Martin. Michael Duff, Swansea's head coach, said a first bid had been turned down for the 21-year-old, but Southampton have repaid with a £10 million bid.

Davinson Sanchez, the Tottenham Hotspur center, is back on the chopping block this summer, as Spurs debate using him as a makeweight

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 18, 2023
SIMON JONES: The Ligue 1 team is now eyeing the defender after being rejected in a bid for Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo, according to Mail Sport earlier this week. Sanchez, 27, is one of the Spurs players who may leave this summer, with manager Ange Postecoglou's reshaping of his squad's first season well underway. Spartak Moscow made a £12.9 million bid for Sanchez earlier this year, and Spurs accepted the bid, but the Colombian was reluctant to move forward. According to news, Galatasaray is one of his other potential suitors. However, Monaco has a definite interest in recruiting another center back after snapping up Mohammed Salisu from Southampton.
