Minenhle Jones, born Minenhle Dlamini, 7 July 1990), also known as Minnie, is a South African on-air personality, actress, and model.

Live Amp, the SABC 1 music show, selected her in 2010 as the new host.

Early life and education

In Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa, she was born to Jabulani and Queen Dlamini. She started her early education at Northlands Girls' High School before heading to the University of Cape Town, where she concentrated on film, television, drama, and economics [incomplete/excluded].

Personal life

Quinton Jones married in a traditional wedding in Glenn Hills, Durban North, on July 8th; the couple then proceeded to do the white wedding on September 16th with exclusive coverage rights sold to Multichoice for R6 million.

She premiered the first episode of Minnie Dlamini: Becoming Mrs Jones, a three-part reality docu-series that chronicles her pre-wedding and post-wedding journey on October 13th. The first episode of Minnie Dlamini: Becoming Mrs Jones became the first episode of Vuzu Amp history on October 19th, according to Vuzu TV, who revealed it on Twitter.

Career

Dlamini, a student at the University of Cape Town, was a host for LIVE on June 16, 2010, making her first screen appearance when covering the "Youth Day" and "World Cup" shows. Mzansi Insider, an SABC 1 lifestyle programme, was later co-hosted by Elizabeth. She resigned from the show in 2012 in order to pursue a career in acting. Minnie converted to sports broadcasting in 2013 with Thomas Mlambo, co-hosting Soccerzone until 2016, when the show's style was changed by SABC 1. She has since co-hosted several local and international awards shows, including the 14th Metro FM Music Awards, 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, the PSL Awards, and the South African Film and Television Awards.

Dlamini debuted as a film actress in Generations, a SABC 1 TV show in which she made a guest appearance as Miranda. She went on to play Zintle Lebone in The Wild and Nosipho Bogatsu in Rockville as Sherry Lebone.

In September 2011, Dlamini was introduced as the new star of South African departmental store LEGIT, which also has her own fashion collection, the Minnie-Series.
