Jo-Ann Strauss (born 3 February 1981 in Cape Town) is a South African model, public speaker, and businesswoman.
In 2001, she represented her country as Miss South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico, as well as the Miss World pageant hosted in Sun City in her home country.
She appeared in the 2001 music video of the Irish pop group Westlife's "When You're Looking Like That."
Career
Strauss obtained her bachelor's degree from Stellenbosch University. She began her television career as Miss South Africa in 1993 before anchoring the English lifestyle magazine show Top Billing (TV show), in which she has profiled Charlize Theron, Antonio Banderas, and George Clooney. Many South African publications featured her as the front page.
Strauss was named Miss South Africa a year ago, she appeared on the first and only celebrity version of Celebrity Big Brother (South African TV series), where she came in runner's place.
