Before co-founding TUT Enterprises, Inc. in 1989 with his brother Andy Dooley and mother, Dooley worked in Florida, Saudi Arabia, and Massachusetts as an international tax specialist for Price Waterhouse Coopers.

TUT also sold T-shirts and gifts from a small chain of shops and a Japanese distributor in Jyoetsu, Japan. The company's retail and wholesale operations were discontinued in 1999, and Dooley became the sole shareholder, transforming the company into today's Adventurer's Club, a philosophical club for learning and living the adventure of life. 1 million people by October 2021, many of whom receive Dooley's daily e-mailings, "Notes from the Universe," which have morphed into books, calendars, greeting cards, and world tours.
