Megyn Price (born March 24, 1971) is an American actress best known for her appearances on television as Claudia Finnerty in the FOX Network/WB's Rules of Engagement (2005–2013), and Vanessa Bingham on Netflix's The Ranch, a Canadian sitcom (2006).
Early life
Price was born in Seattle, Washington, and was raised as a Mormon. She produced and wrote a play, However, she believed acting was "the dumbest career choice anyone could possibly make" while attending Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma. She studied economics and communications at Stanford University, then went on to perform in school plays, as well as performing at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Price decided to pursue acting as a profession after a year as an investment banker.
Personal life
Edward Cotner, an emergency department professor and a former high school classmate, lives in Montecito, California. They have a daughter. Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs and other television shows, was her first husband.
Career
Price began acting in the early 1990s. In an episode of Quantum Leap, she made her television debut. She has also appeared on television shows, including Saved by the Whistle, Renegade, The Drew Carey Show, Will & Grace, and Drop Dead Diva. Greg Giraldo's first appearance on television in the short-lived 1996 ABC comedy series Common Law. On NBC, she appeared in another short-lived sitcom called LateLine from 1998 to 1999. In film, she appeared as a supporting character in Mystery, Alaska, and Larry the Cable Guy: The Health Inspector.
Claudia Finnerty appeared in the WB comedy series Grounded for Life opposite Donal Logue from 2001 to 2005. Audrey Bingham appeared in the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement with Patrick Warburton and David Spade later. She also narrated one episode of season seven. In May 2013, the show was cancelled after seven seasons and 100 episodes.
