Matthew Wilder (born Matthew Weiner; January 24, 1953) is an American musician, singer, and record producer.

Early life
Born in New York City, Wilder graduated from the New Lincoln School.
Career
Wilder was one-half of the Greenwich Village folk rock band Matthew & Peter in the 1970s. He moved to Los Angeles in 1978 and performed for television commercials and as a backing vocalist for Rickie Lee Jones and Bette Midler.
I Don't Speak the Word (1983), Wilder's debut album, debuted at No. 71. On the Billboard 200, 49, "Break My Stride" fuels it. Wilder's album "The Kid's American" debuted at No. 1, earning him some money. The single was 33 years old in 1984, but it was unable to recreate "Break My Stride"'s popularity.
