He debuted as a member of the K-pop boy band 2AM in 2008.

Personal Taste, his actor debut, was in 2010 in the Korean drama.

Early life and education

In 2010, Lim began studying film and acting at the Department of Theatre and Visual Arts at Daejin University. Jeong Jinwoon, a 2AM member, is also a university alumnus. Lim later became a member of 2AM as a student of Kyunghee University Graduate School of Business's Department of Culture & Arts Management.

Personal life

He will begin his mandatory military service on November 28, 2017, according to Lim's department. In Cherowon County, Gangwon Province, Lim entered the third division recruit training center.

Lim's department reported on April 6 that he would no longer be an active soldier on duty. Lim was diagnosed in 2011 with myofascial pain syndrome, internal disc dysfunction, facet joint disease, intermittent chest pain, and chronic pain, which are all signs of '12th rib syndrome,' which is a rare condition that requires continuous medication, and he has been suffering from chronic pain since enlistment. However, the symptoms have deteriorated during military service, and he was moved from active service to "reservist" status, where he waits for a draft notice to complete his remaining duties.

Lim opened his first bar, Nerd on Earth, in 2016 and his second, Odd Bar, a few months before being enlisted for the military in November 2017. Both bars have rooftops and stunning views of Itaewon.

Lim struck a pedestrian while driving a SUV in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, at 11:50 p.m. on August 1, 2020. The road was flooded as a result of torrential downpour, according to the authorities. Lim Seul-ong Career

Career

Seulong appeared on Mnet's "Hot Blood" in 2008. The course demonstrated the rigorous physical preparation that thirteen male trainees had to go through to compete for the opportunity to represent either a 4-member ballad club or a 7-member dance group under the name JYP Entertainment. Seulong was chosen to become a member of the 4-member ballad group 2AM, which was co-managed by JYP Entertainment and Big Hit Entertainment after going through several elimination processes.

Seulong revealed on a talk show, "Night After Night" in 2009, that he had turned down an initial invite from his old company JYP Entertainment (JYPE) to join YG Entertainment. But he didn't turn it into YG and got another call from JYP.

"This Song," 2AM's first single, was released on July 21, 2008. On July 8, 2008, it debuted on "This Song" ("This Song"). Seulong decided to change departments in March 2015, joining SidusHQ. Jinwoon, a fellow 2AM member, has now moved to another management company, though the remaining members remained with JYP Entertainment. The departures did not mean that 2AM was going to be disbanded, according to JYP Entertainment. However, the situation has resulted in 2AM's temporary suspension from all group activities at the time.

On an episode of "Wild Bunny" on 2PM's variety show "Wild Bunny," Seulong and Jo Kwon performed a parody of famous Brown Eyed Girls song Abracadabra. The music video became extremely popular.

In 2010, he worked with IU on "Nagging" for TV show We Got Married, which debuted at No. 1 on several online music charts. On SBS Inkigayo and KBS Music Bank K-Chart respectively, they received an award for "Nagging." For We Got Married Season II, Seulong and Jinwoon appear as commentators on a regular basis.

Seulong, who is preparing for his return to 2AM on March 5, 2013, was announced on February 25 that he would be one of the emcees for the new season XTM Homme. XTM Homme is Korea's first male style variety display, delivering the most up-to-date fashion trend and tech news. It is now in its 5th season. On April 15, 2013, XTM Homme 5.0 was supposed to be broadcast on television.

Seulong was cast in the film 26 Years, in which he played a policeman who is trying to assassinate a former president. The 26 years were announced through crowdfunding, with 15,000 people contributing to the project's $26 billion (US$23,897,068) budget. Seulong became the third idol group member to win a rookie award for his or her film debut in the film, following Big Bang's T.O.P. and Miss A's Bae Suzy. At the opening ceremony of the Marie Claire Film & Music Festival in 2013, he was named Best New Actor. He was nominated for the 49th Baeksang Arts Awards.

In 2013, he played the Crown Prince in The Fugitive of Joseon, in which a doctor fights to save his daughter from a terminal illness. Seulong's department announced on January 2nd, 2015, that he had been authorized for the upcoming drama Hoot's Love, which will air on tvN. Byun Kang Chul, a lawyer who has never been rejected in his life, will be acting as solicitor Byun Kang Chul. Byun Kang Chul is a perfect man who grew up to the top 1% of Korea. He has been a great deal since birth to the point where he no longer needs dating skills. "Hoo's Love" is a drama based on writer Yoo Hyun Sook's original webtoon series "Flowers Next Door" on televisionN.

The lead for the forthcoming film, Horror Stories, is Seulong. Horror Stories is a horror movie collection in omnibus form. Horror Stories 3 serves as a bridge between the first and second sequels, so it includes both past, present, and future. In a unique setting borrowing from the science fiction genre, the third sequel's tale is told in a new light.

With the comedy film The Star Next Door, Lim returned to Korean cinema in September 2017. He played an idol who is embroiled in a controversy with an actress (Han Chae-young) who has a teenage daughter (Jin Ji-hee) who has a crush on him.

Seulong is working with Swedish DJ Avicii on a Korean version of the hit song "Levels." For Seulong's latest iteration, James' vocals are replaced by an autotuned verse in Korean. According to a spokesperson for Universal Music Korea, Avicii's agency selected Seulong for the Korean version "after interviewing many artists because their voice was the most accurate and beautiful." On May 9, 2013 the single "Levels with Seulong from 2AM" was released. Seulong's latest iteration ranked second on the Daily Pop Chart of Korea's largest online music portal MelOn's Top 100 Chart, second place.

Seulong collaborated with Epitone Project on a song called "Summer, Night" to close off the summer season. On September 17, 2013, the digital single was released.

Seulong lent his voice to Yoon Jong Shin's "New You" in May as part of his monthly new single project. "New You," a ballad song about valuing the present moment and the future, a couple may have for one another without worrying about the past or worrying about the future.
