Lacey Nicole Sturm (née Mosley, formerly Carder) is an American singer and songwriter who was born in Homestead, Florida, and raised in Arlington, Texas.
She is a co-founder and former lead vocalist of the hard rock band Flyleaf.

Personal life
Before being converted to Christianity, Sturm was an atheist. She had considered suicide but then found herself in a church where a man told her what she believed to be God's words. She wrote in her book that after her conversion, she had a new sense of life and God like never before. "Yes, I know you," she said with brand new eyes. I have read through all of your activities. Musical career
Sturm began playing with drummer James Culpepper in 2000. Both musicians Sameer Bhattacharya and Jared Hartmann performed together. Pat Seals, Flyleaf's current bassist, formed Passerby in 2002, becoming a group. They renamed themselves Flyleaf in June 2004 due to regulatory reasons.
Sturm revealed that she had amicably left Flyleaf on October 22, 2012, just weeks before the release of New Horizons. The album was nominated for the 2012 Rock Album of the Year Dove Award.
On "Run to You" and "Born Again," two tracks on Christian rock band Third Day's 2008 album Revelation, Sturm provided backing vocals. At the 52nd Grammy Awards for her role with Third Day: "Born Again" was nominated for Best Gospel Song and Best Gospel Performance.
She has also worked with Apocalyptica on their album "Broken Pieces" and with Orianthi on the song "Courage."
