Early life

Kristen Wilson was born on September 4, 1969, and grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, near Boston. She trained as a dancer and performed with the Boston Ballet for four years. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre from Syracuse University, but she took time off during her junior year to participate in a national tour of West Side Story.

Personal life

Kristen was married to lighting specialist Michael Marzovilla from 1997 to 1999. Ruby, their daughter who was born in 1998, was their mother. She has since remarried.

Career

Kristen made her film debut in Prototype, 1992, and then gained a supporting role in Who's the Man? Kristen moved to New York City in 1995, where she appeared in the HBO TV film Tyson as actress Robin Givens. In Bulletproof, she appeared alongside Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler. Dr. Dolittle, Dr. Dolittle 2, and Dr. Dolittle 3 are among her other film credits, including Get on the Bus, Walking Tall, Crossover, Dungeons and Dragons, Pompatus of Love, Girl 6, Girl 6, Dr. Dolittle, Dr. Dolittle 2, and Dr. Dolittle 3. Camryn (Tamera Mowry) and Alex (Tia Mowry) appear alongside her in the Disney films Twitches and Twitches Too.

Wilson has also worked on television; she is best known for her recurring appearance on The District. My Wife and Kids, Crossing Jordan, New York Undercover, Matt Waters, and a pilot episode for CBS' legal drama series Shark are among her credits.

Wilson's theater career includes the Broadway hit Nick & Nora, The Hunchback, A FunnyForum, A My Name is Alice, The Club's national tour, and the West Side Story.
