Early life and education
Kimberly Chia graduated from Compassval Secondary School in 2011. Chia obtained a Diploma in Management from the Singapore Institute of Management as a student at LASALLE College of the Arts after graduating, with lower than expected marks for her GCE 'O' Levels.

Career
Kimberly Chia began as a model at the age of 3. She served as a print ad model for numerous companies as well as a runway model for fashion shows. She began dancing, singing, and acting afterward and was involved in numerous MediaCorp dramas at the age of 9. In 2009, she was her first big role with the Fighting Spiders. Chia came to prominence after appearing in drama On the Fringe 2011, and was later cast in Singaporean film Timeless Love, directed by Lim Koong Hwee and Dasmond Koh.
Chia joined Norton 360 Multi-Device in March 2013, alongside Xu Bin and Aloysius Pang, and Osim's uSlender product in May 2013.
Chia revealed in December 2015 that she would be attending an acting class for two years and would not be interested in any drama for the next two years.
