Early life

Wong, the only child of a housewife mother and father who works in a security company, was born in a Chinese-speaking family. Her father is Singaporean, and her mother is a Malaysian Chinese. She enrolled at Ever After Secondary School and obtained a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2014. During her polytechnic years, Wong was a blogshop model. She was scouted in her final year for Hey Gorgeous in 2013, where she finished as the second runner up.

In 2013, Wong was selected as one of the six participants in the Preliminary Rounds of Hey Gorgeous, qualifying as the first runner-up.

In Scrum, where she plays a disabled Sport Sciences polytechnic student, Wong made her acting debut. It premiered on Channel U in February 2014.

Wong starred in her first MediaCorp Channel 8 drama Against the Tide in September 2014, starring Christopher Lee, Rui Enfield, and Desmond Tan, playing a schizophrenic woman. The drama ran from 24 to 24 September 2014 for 23 episodes.

Wong appeared in The Journey: Tumultuous Times, a young-tempered sweet soup vendor, in November 2014. Her performances earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer, Best Supporting Actress, and her first Top ten Most Popular Artists on Star Awards 2015.

She appeared in a long-running drama 118, where she played a girl from Malaysia who was going to Singapore to look for her father shortly after. On Channel 8, the drama aired from 20 October 2014 to October 16, 2015, for 255 episodes.
