Kimberlin Brown Pelzer (born June 29, 1961) is an American actress best known for her role in The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, which appeared in 1990 and 2018.

Personal life

Brown was born in Hayward, California, and raised in San Diego. Since May 1991, she has been married to Gary Pelzer. They have two children, Alexes Marie and Nicholas.

Career

Brown began her modeling career in Paris, Tokyo, and Milan, New York. In an episode of ABC's Fantasy Island, she returned to Los Angeles and made her television debut. Brown appeared in films Back to School (1986), Eye of the Tiger (1986), Who's That Girl (1987) and 18 Again! (1988), as well as making her soap opera debut in Capitol in 1987. Candace Durrell/Danielle Steele in Santa Barbara later that year.

Brown appeared in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless in 1990 (after auditioning for the role of Cassandra Rawlins) and then on to The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992, playing Sheila on both soaps. She first appeared in The Bold and the Beautiful in 1998, and she continues to make occasional guest appearances. She received the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Villainess in a Drama Series in 1993 and 1993, and was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series nomination in 1993.

On the ABC soap opera Port Charles from 1999 to 2001, Brown portrayed Rachel Locke, mother of Livvie Locke (Kelly Monaco). On the ABC soap opera One Life to Live, Brown debuted in late 2004 in the recurring role of Dr. Paige Miller. When the soap could not match the salary, she left the soap in 2005. The Young and the Restless was asking in order for her to remain. Cady Huffman and Alexandra Neil had her replaced her. After a long absence from the series, Brown revived the role of Sheila on The Young and the Restless in 2005. She was dropped from her job on The Young and the Restless in early 2006, but her name was still present, from time to time. However, she was not played by Brown when her character returned to The Young and the Restless later this year.

Brown had been asked to return to The Young and the Restless in 2010 for a storyline that was later cancelled. In October 2010, she took on a short-term role as a judge on All My Children. Brown appeared in Gregori J. Martin's web-series The Bay in 2011. Dr. Grace Drum, a psychiatrist, is the actress' portrayal. Brown appeared in a summer special "Far From The Bay" and continued to appear in the series's second season. Sheila Brown appeared on B&B from 2017–2018 and then again in August 2021.

Brown and her partner, Gary Pelzer, are small-business owners; they own and operate an avocado farm in California.
