Four years after going viral, Four Lads in Jeans make a comeback appearance, recreating their famous 2020 photo in new Euro 2024 advert

The men behind the meme sensation Four Lads In Jeans have recreated the photo that launched them to internet stardom 2020, posing in the same outfits they wore in their original shot to appear in a new advert for betting company Paddy Power. The jokey advert, which stars actor Danny Dyer , promotes Euro 2024 . Actor Danny, 46, pulled pints and spouted his now iconic cockney rhyming slang as he joins Peter Crouch , 43, in the hysterical new commercial ahead of the upcoming tournament in Germany. Kicking off the countdown to the much-anticipated tournament, Danny stripped down to his swimming trunks in the ad that boasted of England's unique position of favourite to win the tournament. Dodgy behaviour abroad, rubbish holiday fashion sense and the less-than seamless Brexit process were all playfully teased as characters from around Europe were questioned about their love of the English. In a segment featuring an Italian woman joking that England are her favourite because of the English's 'effortless style', the shot cuts to the four lads in their now infamous outfits, before she is heard saying 'Mammia mia', after spotting them. (Pictured L-R: Kevin Rooney, Alex Lacey, Jamie Phillips and Connor Humpage in their original 2020 photo: In the 2024 advert).
Our curse of the skinny jeans: The lads branded 'stupid' and 'racist' over an innocent photo reflect on how going viral changed their lives. And why, despite being targeted by a hate mob, they're still proud to be British

It was just the sort of picture that thousands of people have taken and shared after a night out; a snap that is 'liked' by their friends then forgotten about. The four lads never imagined what was about to happen - or how huge an impact that innocent photo would have on their lives. A few months later, it was somehow picked up by a viral Facebook page and memes - a kind of internet joke - of them - dubbed 'four lads in jeans' - spread worldwide. Incidentally, only two of them - Kevin and Connor - were actually wearing denim.
'They'll be back in fashion soon enough!': 'Four lads in jeans' make chilling prediction four years on from THAT hilarious photo that made them an internet sensation

The meme sensation, Four Lads In Jeans, have predicted that skinny jeans will soon be back in fashion four years after they posed for a photo that launched them to internet stardom. Jamie Philips, Connor Humpage, Kevin Rooney and Alex Lacey unwittingly became famous after posting a photo of themselves on a 'boozy brunch with the lads' in Birmingham wearing skinny jeans and tight tops. Four years on, the friends posted a new photo showing off their updated look, this time with baggier jeans and cargo pants. But despite the transformation the foursome believe that skinny jeans might be back in fashion sooner than expected. Kevin Rooney said: 'The thing is that those skinny jeans will come back around, they'll be back in fashion.
