He joined Social Distortion after the death of founding member and longtime friend, Dennis Danell, in February 2000.

Career
Wickersham has been touring and recording with Social Distortion since the Angel's Sing memorial concert in June 2000 to support Dennis Danell's family. Wickersham co-wrote "Angel's Wings," "Faithless" and "Nickels and Dimes" with Mike Ness, as well as "Take Care of Yourself" and "Take Care of Yourself" with Ness on Social Distortion's 2004 release Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll.
Wickersham and Ness' solo band, as well as Social Distortion, were on tour in 2008.
"Johnny Twobags" was a Vandals' song about him, and the Vandals' album Live Fast, Diarrhea was released.
In 2010, he reunited with his United States family. Bombs bandmates will tour Europe and the United States with them.
In 2012, he announced the debut of his first solo 7" "Hope Dies Hard" and his forthcoming solo album Salvation Town.
Folsom Records' limited edition 7," "Hope Dies Harp" was released on December 4, 2012. In December 2012, the singles were sold at the House of Blues in Social Distortion. Only 500 copies were made.
Salvation Town, his first solo album, was released by Isotone Records on April 1, 2014. On Rolling Stone, the first single, "One Foot In The Gutter," premiered. Wickersham has portrayed Salvation Town as "americana" and said in an interview that "There has always been a strong American roots thread thread thread throughout all I've done, with Cadillac Tramps a Social Distortion, particularly in the Bombs. I've always written a lot of ballads and stuff like this. I grew up with a lot of American pop culture. My father was a member of bar bands. That's how he raised me: playing jazz music in bars. "It seemed that it was a natural fit to me."
