After going through early menopause as a result of chemotherapy, Sky Sports News host Jo Wilson has expressed concern about being on-air. Wilson discovered she had the disease after doing a simple smear test in June 2022, but further tests revealed she had stage 3C cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. The presenter underwent six weeks of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and brachytherapy, an internal form of targeted radiotherapy, before being given the all clear in April 2023.

Jo Wilson has declared she is cancer-free eight months after revealing she had been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. After going through a routine smear test in June and being told life-saving radiotherapy and chemotherapy therapy, Sky Sports News presenter Terry Burke, 38, declared her illness last September. She told OK! 'I can honestly say that waiting for the results of my latest scan was one of my life's toughest times.'

The Sky Sports News presenter announced that the painful news last September came after a routine smear test was performed in June and the patient underwent life-saving radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Wilson shared a snapshot of herself clutching a celebratory bottle of champagne as she celebrated at a Courteeners gig, posting the happy news on social media.
