Career

Barr began presenting Seven Early News with Mark Beretta at 5.30 a.m. in July 2008, which leads to Sunrise, where she is now the news presenter. Natalie is also on Seven News Sydney and sometimes fills in.

Barr was a front-runner to co-host Sunday Night, a new current affairs show, but Chris Bath was named co-host with Mike Munro.

On Home and Away, Natalie appeared as herself, confirming that missing girl Ava Gilbert.

After Armytage requested a reduced workload in June 2020, Barr will host Sunrise with David Koch and Samantha Armytage on Monday and Friday respectively. The next steps for accused mushroom chef Erin Patterson have been revealed as details emerge about her living conditions in one of Australia's toughest jails. Ms Patterson, 48, appeared in LaTrobe Valley Magistrates' Court via video-link for a special hearing on Monday - her first public appearance in over five months. The mother-of-two has been behind bars at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre in Melbourne's western industrial suburbs since her arrest last November.

Seven reveals what really happened behind the scenes when Samatha Armytage appeared on Sunrise alongside Natalie Barr amid rumours of an ongoing 'feud'

Samantha Armytage recently made a surprise return to Sunrise to discuss the new season of Farmer Wants A Wife after departing the breakfast program three years ago. But according to Woman's Day, her replacement Natalie Barr reportedly 'wasn't comfortable' with Armytage, 47, returning to the show amid the pair's ongoing feud. 'When Nat found out the week before that she would be coming on, she just copped it on the chin and as Nat does with everything, she decided to be professional'  a TV insider said.

Sunrise host Natalie Barr confronts Albanese government about cost of living crisis: 'Not believing you'

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 22, 2024
Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek reeled off a list of Labor's policies designed to help people make ends meet, including 'electricity bill relief, lower childcare fees, cheaper medicines, making it cheaper and easier to see a doctor, extra paid parental leave, free TAFE, more support for affordable housing' and lower taxes. But the Sunrise host snapped back: 'They (voters) are kind of not believing you, though, are they?' Ms Plibersek acknowledged that 'people are doing it tough' before changing tack and criticising the previous coalition government and former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce, who she was appearing alongside.
