James Patrick Buckley (born 14 August 1987) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, singer, and YouTuber.
In the BAFTA-winning E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners, he is best known for playing Jay Cartwright.
Early life and education
In Croydon, England, James Patrick Buckley was born. His father was a postman, and his mother worked in the Home Office. Buckley discovered how much he loved doing, and that, at the age of seven, he began attending a weekend at a theatre. Buckley's family migrated to Dagenham, and the show Whistle Down the Wind and Les Misérables debuted by the age of eleven, and by the age of 11, he began his first professional work in the West End. He began attending The Chafford School the same year. Buckley said that school cared so little that he did not get his GCSE results.
