Early life and education
Meadows was born and raised in Collie, Western Australia, and studied at Curtin University and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), graduating in 2005. Ross Meadows, his elder brother, played for Australia, and his younger sister, Neroli Meadows, is a sports writer on Fox Sports Australia and Fox Footy.
Acting career
Meadows' highest profile television appearance to date was as Rocco Cooper, a young troubled boy who was coerced by his brother to try and kill Sally Fletcher on the long-running Australian soap opera Home and Away.
Other appearances include appearances in "Tripping Over," a single-episode role, as well as the 2009 film Mao's Last Dancer and the miniseries The Pacific. "Modern International Dead" at the Griffin Theatre Company in Sydney in 2008, for which he received a nod for "Best Newcomer" at the Sydney Theatre Awards 2008.
In March 2009, he appeared in the Russian play Ladybird at the Belvoir St Theatre in Sydney, which he later helped develop and re-write to localise in Australia. He appeared on Police drama Rush in 2010 as James, the son of Inspector Kerry Vincent (played by Catherine McClements). He also played as Pvt. Cecil Evans of HBO's The Pacific, which was filmed mainly on Australia.
Meadows appeared in ABC Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo in 2011, playing photographer Andrew Cowell and appeared in the East West 101's season three episode as Simon. He also appeared on Rush in 2011 as James Vincent, a student actor.
Meadows appeared in A Moody Christmas, an ABC comedy series that aired on ABC1 in the weeks leading up to Christmas 2012. In early 2014, the Moodys, a sequel to the Moodys, aired on ABC1.
Meadows appeared in Network 10's Australian drama series The Wrong Girl in 2016.
