Acting career
Tucker was a student at the National Theatre in Melbourne.
He apprenticed with a real country veterinarian to study his role as Dave Brewer on the drama McLeod's Daughters.
Tucker's onstage credits include The Woman in Black in 2006 and The Great Gatsby in 1997.
He played Daniel Fitzgerald in Neighbours, from 1999 to 2000, a role he returned to in late 2007. In June 2009, it was revealed that he would leave the show to pursue acting opportunities in the United States. Tucker was a member of Neighbours but he was an assistant with The Saddle Club.
