Career
Dorough began performing "Babyface" with his little guitar when he was three years old. He started performing at the age of six or seven, thanks to his brother Polyanna's appearance at mass in the church choir and his first appearance in The Wizard of Oz's musical version as a performer and actor. His mother enrolled him in many children's community theater performances of top musicals, including "Sound Of Music," "Showboat" and "Camelot," as well as "Camelot" and "Camelot" and "Camelot") and eventually taught him in singing/voice and acting lessons at a performing arts academy where he also took dance lessons in classical ballet, tap, and jazz throughout elementary school, among others. He even performed in an all-boy ballet company. He appeared in Little League before turning to the arts. Dorough performed some singing in the choir, auditioned for All-State Chorus, talent shows, and acting school productions, as well as a school TV series titled "Macho & Camacho." He was discovered by an acting agent when he was 14 years old and appeared in films including Parenthood starring Steve Martin, Nickelodeon TV production pilot "Welcome Freshman" and star in a Disney World commercial under the stage name Tony Donetti. He didn't particularly like this, but his handler thought he was Italian and thought it would help him find out. Despite enjoying it his entire life, as well as his bandmates AJ and Nick, he was abused as a youth due to a lack of Spanish words, his falsetto vocal range, and his weight when he was 12 and 7.
Dorough's choir teacher had invited him to perform the National Anthem at his high school basketball game. He agreed but forgot the words until it was time to sing. Despite the humiliating shame, he regained control and resumed his performances at his school talent showcase when he sang 'Unchained Melody', receiving a standing ovation as he reached the high note. Girls were crying in their eyes, and boys were captivated by envy. Dorough was note-perfect, and this time, he was word perfect too. As the screams filled the auditorium and everyone jumped to their feet, his national anthem mess was forgotten. He also auditioned for Menudo, a Latin boy band, but he didn't make it. He was also involved in Friends, a peer mentoring group, where he taught other children about how to live "a healthy life, having fun, going to school, and avoiding opioids." When he isn't in the spotlight, he works as a tour guide in Universal Orlando and spent time with his sister at Zarro's Bread Basket one summer in New York when he was 14 years old.
He was named 'Most Talented' and graduated from Edgewater High School in 1991, placing him in the top ten of his class. After high school, Dorough tried to Backstreet Boys under his stage name but they lost his headshot and contact information; however, they were able to track him down after six months because AJ was already a member of the group. He received a scholarship and attended both University of Central Florida and Valencia College as an Associate of Arts Degree with Chris Kirkpatrick, a member of *NSYNC.
In 1993, Lou Pearlman founded the Backstreet Boys, selecting Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, and Kevin Richardson. They gradually became famous in European countries, beginning with Germany, and embarked on a tour to promote their debut album. In many countries, the album gradually climbed to the top ten positions and was on its way to sell more than 8 million copies.
Backstreet's Back was their first album in Europe, and it was a mash-up of both their international debut and Backstreet's Back, which was a compilation of both their international debut and Backstreet's Back. The album debuted at No. 1 on the charts. On the Billboard 200, there were four on the Billboard 200 and over 14 million copies sold. Backstreet's Backstreet's Backstreet proved much more popular than their debut album, debuting at number one in several nations.
