Gülben Ergen (born 25 August 1972) is a Turkish singer and actor. Ergen began her career as an actress and then moved to the music industry later in life.

She began her musical career as a headliner.

The Golden Butterfly Awards were given to Melek in the television series Dadi in 2001.

At the Turkey Music Awards in 2002, Sade ve Sadece's lead single was named as the Best Composition of the Year.

In 2004, Ergen's album Uçacaksin sold 600,000 copies and received a Mü-Yap diamond award.

Life and career

Gülben Ergen was born in Istanbul on August 25. She completed her studies at Erenköy Girls High School and then enrolled in the Kadköy Business High School after attending Erenköy Girls High School. Ergen won the second place in the Cinema Star Contest sponsored by Hürriyet at the age of 16, and after graduating high school, she pursued a career in modeling.

Ergen made her cinematic debut in 1988 film Biz Ayrlamayz, which starred Bülent Ersoy. She had a leading role in Deniz Yld'z, a Kartal Tibet film starring Kenan Kalav, in the same year. She appeared alongside Cüneyt Arkn in Av and played a part in Kanun Savaşçlar with Eşref Kolçik. In the meantime, Ergen lost her eldest brother, who was five years older than her, in a car accident.

She joined the Maksim Casino with abrahim Tatl's and later appeared in Tatl's "Haydi Söyle" in 1994. Ergen, who began her music career during this period, was trained by Nurdan Torun's staff. She was later cast in Brahim Tatlses' television series Frat.

Merhaba, Gülben Ergen's first album, was unveiled in September 1997 by Elenor Müzik. "Sana Sana," "Yaramaz," "Aşkta Kural Tanmam," "Boşvere Boşvere" and "Sensiz Mutlu Olamam" were among the songs that were made.

Uçacaksn, her fourth studio album, was released in February 2004. She gave a concert in Istanbul and used its film to make her live album Gülben Ergen Live in Istanbul. By the year's end, the album had sold 600,000 copies, and Ergen released music videos for the songs "Unçacaksn", "Kand ramazsn Beni," "Ayrlmam," and "Gencecik Delikanl." She recorded the single "Fr Fkr Fkr Fkr," which was later added to Uçacaksn's track list and released under the tag Fkr Fr 9+1.

Ergen married Mustafa Erdoan in September 2004.

Seyhan Müzik's latest self-titled studio album, Gülben Ergen, was released in June 2006. In April 2012, Ergen and Mustafa Erdoan's marriage ended in divorce.

Hayat Bi' Gün's, her latest album, was announced in August after she appeared in Kuruçeşme Arena. Taşk Nabah was the music producer, while Fettah Can, Ersay Üner, Serdar Ortaç, and Mustafa Sandal wrote the majority of the songs; Tark Ceran did the mixing and mastering. Serdar Ortaç's first music video for this album was created for the song "Yarplak," which was written by Serdar Ortaç. Ersay Üner's script and recording of "Tesadüf" became one of 2011's most popular slow-paced songs. Ergen's music style underwent significant changes in 2012, when she created and performed a video music for the high-tempo song "V" (Vod) -- which was written and produced by Eflatun. The music critics lauded Ergen's work on this music video.

Ergen revealed in a story in summer 2012 that she was working on her new album and had borrowed songs from Metin Arolat and Kenan Doulu, which she had put aside for the future. Ergen performed "Durdurun Dünyay" by Kenan Doulu in August 2012 and released it in August 2012. Ozan Dolu and Taşkn Sabah's single was released in two different ways. Ergen and Erhan elik divorced on December 6, 2016, two years after they married.

Ergen's tenth studio album, Kalbimi Koydum, was released on October 19th, after four years. The album debuted in the pre-order section and became Turkey's most popular album on iTunes. Bora Duran wrote and produced the album's lead single, as well as "Kalbimi Koydum." On Turkey's official music charts, the album debuted second. Mustafa Sandal and Emina Jahovi's second music video for this album was released, "YKl Karşmdan," which was written and produced by Mustafa Sandal and Emina Jahovi. Mert Ekren's song "Kusura Bakma" was released on March 28th, 2016. For the song "zledim" by the artist's brother, the fourth music video for this album was produced and was shown to the public at Ergen's concert at the Bostanc Show Center. "Yaklaş Yaklaş" was the fifth song from this album to be released on YouTube on August 1, 2016, and "Panda" was the sixth track to be released on September 26, 2016.

Gülben Ergen argued that Serengil could not get closer than 30 meters to Ergen, could not insult her or commit any kind of violence against her" for six months in 2017, and a court in Istanbul ruled that Serengengil "could not come closer than 30 meters to Ergen in 2017 despite her protests. Serengil was sentenced to three days in prison in January 2018.

Ergen has continued her career since 2017, including "Esasen" (2016), "Yansn Bakalm" (2018), "Bu Benim Hayatm" (2018), and "Müsadenle" (2019), written by Onur Mete and Zuhal Karadeniz.
