Felipe Anderson Pereira Gomes (born 15 April 1993), known as Felipe Anderson, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for English Premier League club West Ham United and the Brazil national team.
Early and personal life
Born Santa Maria, Distrito Federal, Brazil, Felipe Anderson grew up the youngest of five siblings. His upbringing was poor, and he had to borrow football boots from his friends to play.
Club career
Felipe Anderson began his career in Associaço 14 Companhia Militar Independente (CPMIND), in his hometown of Santa Maria, where he was born at 6 years old. He was recruited to Federal FC and then to Sport Clube Recreativo Gaminha FC in 2006, before being sent to Sport Clube Recogniçionism. After some good results on the track, he was moved to Paraná to play for Astral EC, which ended the year. He was relocated to Coritiba youth in 2007, and then moved to Santos in 2007.
Felipe Anderson continued to play for Santos' youth divisions before being promoted to the senior squad in October 2010 after a string of injuries.
