Drag-On Life

Drag-On (born Melvin Smalls) is an American hip hop recording artist and actor from New York City's Bronx neighborhood.

Drag-On is perhaps best known as the original member of Ruff Ryders Entertainment's imprint, where he debuted his debut album, Opposite of H2O (2000).

The album was a hit on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling over 500,000 copies and receiving a gold medal from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Drag-On joined Virgin Records in 2004 and released his second album Hell and Back, his first album since leaving Interscope Records, which made his debut with Ruff Ryders.

Hell and Back did not sell like the H2O Opposite.

Nonetheless, it did a good job for an album that had no promotions, radio spins, or advertisements. In 2014, Drag-On began his own record company, Hood Environment.

Drag-On introduced a line of freestyles and mixtapes on his website Hood Environment.Com.

Drag-On appeared in the 2001 film Exit Wounds and the 2003 Cradle 2 the Grave, both of which stars his then-Ruff Ryders label-mate DMX.
