Samuel Morris Zornow (born January 27, 1986), also known as DJ Shiftee, is a New York City-based DJ and turntablist.
Career
Zornow is the 2009 DMC World DJ Finals champion, the only American DJ to win the DMC Battle for World Supremacy to date, and he was the youngest competitor to win the DMC New York Regional (age 17 in 2003) until DJ Dwells took the title in 2014 at the age of 13.
Zornow is also a member of the Lo-Livez DJ crew and DJ program manager at DubSpot, a dance school. He has appeared in numerous Native Instruments ad campaigns for their flagship Traktor product. Besides, he has teamed up with Jamie Lidell, Tim Exile, Mr. Jimmy, and Jeremy Ellis to create Mostly Robot, a joint music project that debuted at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona in 2012.
