After Jaime Mata had put Getafe ahead just three minutes earlier, the striker, on loan from Manchester United, was able to latch onto Diego Rico's long pass to run and score past Alvaro Valles in 14 minutes. Sandro put one goal back for the visitors ten minutes before halftime, but Nemanja Maksimovic was able to recover Getafe's two-goal lead before the break.
