Megan Reeves, a female agent on CBS television series Numb3rs, and firefighter Laura Miles in Rescue Me, is best known for her appearances.

Personal life

Seung Yong Chung, a 36-year-old entertainment marketing executive, married her on June 26, 2006. Beckett Mancuso Chung, the couple's first child, was born in March 2007 and they had twin girls in August 2008. Also, Farr has written a book on interracial romance, Kissing Outside the Lines.

Life and career

Diane Farr was born in New York City on September 7, 1969. She is of Irish and Italian descent. Farr studied drama at Stony Brook University and Loughborough University in England and graduated with a joint bachelor of arts from these two universities.

Farr has published two books. The Girl Code, the first edition, was released in 2001 and has been translated into seven languages. It addresses single women's obscure language. Kissing Outside the Lines, her second book, was published in May 2011 and is a comedic memoir of her interracial conversion. Farr also writes for a number of American newspapers and runs a nationally syndicated newspaper column for the International Herald Tribune.

Farr appeared on Loveline on MTV for 200 episodes and appeared on The Drew Carey Show, Arli$$$$, and CSI. On The WB's and later UPN's Roswell, she portrayed Amy DeLuca, mother to series co-star Majandra Delfino's Maria. Maddie Hudson appeared on "Today's Like Family" before deciding to play her. Later, she co-created and starring Denis Leary on ABC's The Job. Following the conclusion of the series, she appeared in Rescue Me (also created by and starring Leary) and spent two seasons as a firefighter. Megan Reeves, a former rescue Me to star on CBS's crime drama Numb3rs, has moved from Rescue Me to star as FBI agent Megan Reeves.

Following the show's fourth season, Farr decided not to renew her deal and left Numb3rs. In her last film, she appeared in May 18, 2008. Farr also opted for a 10-episode run in 2009.

In a flashback episode of Desperate Housewives, Farr appeared in Barbara, a mother whose negative influence led her son Eddie to become a serial murderer in April 2010. Barbara strangled her to death when she discovered Eddie's collection of newspaper papers about the women he hurt or killed. Gina De Stefano, a waitress, appeared in White Collar as a waitress.

Farr appeared in season seven of Grey's Anatomy, where she played the role of a patient with Huntington's disease under the care of Meredith. Miranda, a terminal cancer patient and Dr. Sheldon Wallace's love interest, appeared in the final season (2012–13) of Grey's Anatomy spin-off series Private Practice, as Miranda, a terminal cancer patient and the love interest of Dr. Sheldon Wallace (Brian Benben).

Farr wrote, produced, and presented a Reality Cometles-based reality comedy series for several years, beginning in 2010.

Farr played his character's love interest in Adam Carolla's 2015 film Road Hard.

In Jerry Bruckheimer's 2022 American drama television series Fire Country, Farr plays Sharon Leone, Cal Fire Division Chief and mother of lead character Bode Donovan.
