Dez Fafara Life

Bradley James 'Dez' Fafara' (born May 12, 1966) is an American heavy metal vocalist who appears in the band DevilDriver and formerly Coal Chamber.

Early life

Fafara is of Portuguese and Sicilian descent. On the Leave It to Beaver television sitcom, Tiger Fafara's father and his late uncle, Stanley Fafara, appeared as child actors.

He has suffered with attention deficit hyperactivity throughout his entire life.

In honor of Dez Cadena, a singer and guitarist for Black Flag and a early influence on Fafara, Fafara adopted the term "Dez" in honor of the singer and guitarist for Black Flag.

Personal life

Anahstasia is Fafara's wife, and she appears on the front page of the second Coal Chamber album Chamber Music. Tyler (born 1991), Kaleb (born 1994), and Simon (born 1997). Tyler was written for Tyler on the album Chamber Music's "Tyler's Song." During the last two lines of the chorus, Simon, who was nine years old at the time, lent his support growls on DevilDriver's third album, The Last Kind Words (2007), on the track "Tirades of Truth."

Fafara is a vegetarian. He has voiced his displeasure with the belief that animals are used for food and believes that people are gradually switching to plant-based foods as "health for your body, good for the planet." Fafara also said that going vegan resulted in significant improvements in his health. Fafara is also a freemason, citing his passion for the Navajo nation in the American southwest as the driving factor for his decision to join.

At the age of 16, Fafara got his first tattoo. He has a variety of tattoos, including a tribal tattoo on his chest and left arm, a collection of Mayan/Aztec tattoos on his chest and left arm, the DevilDriver logo on his upper arm and face, and the Coal Chamber logo on his forearm. His knuckles are also debuffed. Fafara's chin tattoo extended to his neck and jawline in 2019. This latest model featured vibrant colors and a variety of Mayan/Aztec styles.
