Marko Tapani "Marco" Hietala (born 14 January 1966) is a Finnish heavy metal singer, bassist, and songwriter.
He is best known as the current bassist, male vocalist, and secondary composer of Tuomas Holopainen's symphonic metal band Nightwish's Tuomas Holopainen.
He plays both a vocalist and bassist, as well as a singer and lyricist for the heavy metal band Tarot, and appeared on Ayreon's 2013 album The Theory of Everything.
