David Soria Career

Club career

Soria, a native of Madrid, departed from his youth with Real Madrid. Following his release, he went to England and trialled at Leicester City, who let him go after an accident on his first day; he was then dismissed by Birmingham City after six weeks due to their wage cap, and finally ended his trial at Stoke City due to feeling dissatisfied.

Soria's Sporting de Gijón in Segunda División's on his return to Spain, but he was unable to secure a contract at Real Betis B due to a change in coach, and he wasn't confident enough for Abelardo Fernández's Sporting de Gijón. He continued to train at CD Canillas to keep his fitness, but he did not make his debut for the club; at the time, he was considering moving away from football.

Soria joined Sevilla FC in January 2013 and made his debut as a senior with the Tercera División team. He was promoted to the reserves in 2013 and appeared in 16 matches in his first season in Segunda División B, adding 34 in the following.

Soria played as a reserve in La Liga for seven times, his first appearance against Getafe CF on September 14th. He remained on the bench for one match of their undefeated run in the UEFA Europa League, beating FC Zenit Saint Petersburg 2–1 quarter-final first leg at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on April 16th.

Marca Beto and Sergio Rico predicted that Soria would break into Sevilla's first team in September 2015 due to their goalkeepers' poor form. In the last 32 of the Copa del Rey's last 32, Unai Emery made his debut on December 2nd, beating UD Logros 3–0 away.

In a 3–0 home win over Molde FK on his continental debut on February 18, 2016, Soria was the undisputed goalkeeper in the knockout stage of the Europa League, keeping a clean sheet. On April 5, 2016, he extended his contract with the Andalusians until 2020.

Soria made an error in the quarter-final second leg against Compatriots Athletic Bilbao on April 14, 2016, but Beat Etxebarria won by a narrow margin. He was also in goal for the final in Basel, a 3–1 win over Liverpool on May 18th.

Soria made the first appearance in the Spanish top flight on May 20, 2017 after Sevilla had already secured the fourth position in the league, beating relegated CA Osasuna by a 5–0 home win.

Getafe CF, a top-tier team, and Sevilla have agreed to a three-year deal for Soria's transfer. He made his debut in the season opener, a 2–0 loss at Real Madrid on August 20th, and he missed just one game as the team from the Comunity of Madrid fought for their fifth game, two points away from advancing to Champions League for the first time.

Soria was the only player in the league to play in every minute of the season in 2019-20, as Getafe was forced to miss European qualification due to an extra-time loss on the final day. Rubén Yáz, who had impressed while recovering from a muscular injury in December, has recovered his position in February.

When he marauded down the flank, the defender seemed to have been led to a hopeless situation, but the defender collapsed in the 80th minute. However, the right-back managed to buy a flicker of space and smashed the ball into the box. Little did he know it would sail beyond goalkeeper David Soria and against the far post, bouncing into the net for his first goal of his career.

Los Blancos debuted the Santiago Bernabeu renovations after their 2-1 victory over Getafe in LaLiga on Sunday evening, in which Bellingham continued his stellar start to life in Spain with a 95th-minute winner. In Madrid's first four games, the midfielder has risen to his new team like a duck in water, netting five times. On the grand reopening of the historic ground over the weekend, he was once more the hero of the hour, on his way to poke in the winner after Getafe goalkeeper David Soria spilled Lucas Vazquez's shot from distance.

Real Madrid 2-1 Getafe: Beate is a game that takes place in the United States, with Jude Bellingham scoring in the last gasp 95th minute to lift three points for Carlo Ancelotti's side at the recently renovated Santiago Bernabeu

PETE JENSON OF THE BERNABEU: Jude Bellingham continued his remarkable Real Madrid debut by defeating Getafe in 95th minutes to keep his team La Liga top of the standings and maintain their 100 percent record at the start of the season. It was Madrid's first home game of the season, and it got off to a rocky start with former academy player Borja Mayoral scoring after Fran Garcia's back pass fell short and gave Getafe possession. They missed the wounded Vinicius in the first half as they tried to break down Getafe's tenacious defense. Bellingham thought he had won a penalty, but a VAR check was overruled, and with David Soria's stellar form for Getafe Madrid, the tunnel was still in tactic.
