The barrister and broadcaster, 45, and his TV partner, 35, had a wonderful time celebrating together at the BAFTAS last night as fans hailed them as the 'perfect couple'. On the red carpet at London 's Royal Festival Hall last night (right), Rob looked adoringly up at his 6ft4in companion  - and he admitted that they have never been closer. 'It's always a joy to be alongside him', he told MailOnline today. Last night Rob shared a picture of them together in Italy with the Lord Byron quote: 'Friendship may, and often does, grow into love' - sparking huge excitement amongst fans wishing happiness and a fresh start for him and Rylan, perhaps even together. Today Rob admitted he has developed a deep bond with Rylan, describing him as the 'real deal' - but insisted they are not in a romantic relationship. 'We aren't a couple. It is what Rylan said, we are like a very old married couple, we row, laugh together and don't have sex', he said. Their show Grand Tour premiered on BBC 2 last night, where the pair spoke movingly about their divorces and looking to rebuilding their lives in a show billed as a bittersweet 'heartbreak holiday'. Rob broke down (main picture) as Rylan admitted he tried to 'end it all' and he 'just sunk' after his marriage to Dan Neal (top image) ended in 2021 after six years. Mr Rinder then spoke tearfully about the pain of unrequited love before sharing a toast to 'love'. Mr Rinder and his ex-husband, barrister Seth Cumming (together, below centre), divorced in 2018.

On paper their personalities are poles apart, but TV presenters Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark (pictured, and right with their guide Adam Evans) have gone from being distant acquaintances who share the same divorce lawyer to enjoying what they jokingly refer to as 'the perfect platonic marriage'.  And it was filming their refreshingly raw new three-part TV series in Italy that brought them together. Having both endured painful divorces, they were ready to embrace the next chapter in their lives by throwing themselves into experiences outside their comfort zones. Inset is Rylan and his ex-husband Dan Neal.

Rylan Clark has revealed his is dating again as he opened up about his love-life on Wednesday two years on from his split from husband Dan Neal.  The presenter, 35, suffered a mental health breakdown following his marital split in 2021 after being together for five years.  During Rylan's latest BBC TV series, Grand Tour with Rob Rinder, the pair were set up on fun blind dates which the former X Factor said is a rare thing for him to go on.
