Career
Midkiff appeared in Off-Broadway plays such as Mark Medoff's The Wager. Duke, Roger Corman's Streetwalkin's first film role. In what some regard as a B-movie classic, Dale's performance was "particularly impressive." In interviews, he says that although his family never fully understood his passion for acting, they never discouraged him: "I love them for helping a child believe in his dreams."
In Dallas, he received his first big break when he landed the role of Jock Ewing, a young Jock Ewing. Elvis Presley, the best-known figure to date, appeared in the four-hour miniseries Elvis and Me, as well as Dream Street, a short-lived "blue collar" series set in New Jersey. Midkiff's roles have spanned the gamut from the wife beater in A Cry For Help: The Tracey Thurman Novel to the hero/best friend who discovers that his partner/best friend is a murderer in Vigilante Cop to the nimble hunter in The Magnificent Seven to the amiable ladies' man and town protector. He is also known for his role in the 1989 film adaptation of Stephen King's Pet Sematary as Louis Creed.
