Wednesday on Netflix: What happened to the ORIGINAL cast of the Addams Family?

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 18, 2022
The Addams Family was the brainchild of New Yorker cartoonist Charles Addams, who first introduced the characters in the 1930s. However, the family soon became household names in the 1960s after the TV series premiered on ABC in September 1964. The black comedy saw John Astin as romantic patriarch Gomez, Carolyn Jones as the alluring mom Morticia, Lisa Loring as dark daughter Wednesday, Ken Weatherwax as their sweet son Pugsley and Jackie Coogan as eccentric Uncle Fester. After a two-season run, the show came to an end in April 1966. The Addams Family returned to screens in 1991 with the likes of Anjelica Huston as Morticia, Raul Julia as Gomez, and a young Christina Ricci as Wednesday. Now the iconic family is being introduced to a new generation as Netflix prepares to release their new remake series, Wednesday. But what about the original cast members who helped bring the iconic roles to life? FEMAIL has taken a look at what happened to their careers once the show came to an end.
