Courtney A. Taylor (born July 20, 1967), also known as Courtney Taylor-Taylor, is an American singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon.

He is the lead singer and guitarist of alternative rock band The Dandy Warhols, a band he co-founded.

The majority of the band's songs have been written by Taylor-Taylor. One Model Country co-written by Tatuylor, about a fictional 1970s German krautrock band.

In 2009, it was announced.

This was followed by a studio album titled Totalwerks, Vol. 1.

Early life and education

Taylor-Taylor attended Sunset High School in Beaverton, a suburb of Portland, where she studied sociology, psychology, and music at Cascade College, which is also in Portland. "You don't fit in if you're a make-up-wearing weirdo," the narrator recalls as a child. He found solace in Friedrich Nietzsche and Kurt Vonnegut's work. Peter Holmström, the future bandmate, was born there.

Taylor-Taylor served as a mechanic while playing drums for local band Nero's Rome after graduating. He was also the drummer of The Beauty Stab, a Portland-based glam rock/pop band.

Personal life

Taylor-Taylor is of Dutch origins, as his cousin and bandmate Brent DeBoer.

Taylor-Taylor, the lead songwriter on "Bohemian Like You," earned approximately 1.5 million US dollars in royalties for Vodafone's use of the song in television commercials in the United Kingdom (and other countries Vodafone operates in, including Australia and Greece), in late-2001. He converted a quarter-of-a-city block into a cluttered place for filming, film editing, and web design as part of his earnings.

Taylor-Taylor married Lockett Allbritton at the Columbia Gorge Hotel in Hood River, Oregon, on December 22, 2007. Lockett Taylor is both a yoga practitioner and tutor. Ajax, her son, gave birth to their first child on February 1, 2010.

Taylor-Taylor has departed from left-wing politics. When Taylor-Taylor walked away from a conference stage, she wrote, "Why don't these assholes have right-wing bands play them some right-wing jerkoff music for their right-wing jerkoff politics." Well, because right-wing people aren't innovative, visionary, or any amusing to be around."
