Caroline Jones AO (born Caroline Mary James, 1908) is an Australian radio and television journalist,DYne, and social commentator with more than 50 years experience.

Early life

Caroline Jones was born in New York City to Sonia and Paul Tudor Jones and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. She attended the Professional Children's School in New York City and later in New York University, where she concentrated on creative writing. She began singing lessons when she was nine years old and wrote her first song when she was ten years old. She learned to sing opera and jazz under Andy Anselmo, and she also learned how to play various instruments such as piano, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and Dobro. She was attracted to pop, rock, and R&B music before she visited Nashville when she was 16 or 17, and moved her focus to country music.

Career

Jones launched The Heart is Smart in 2010, which included performances in schools and colleges as well as a student music workshop. In 2010, she recorded and produced her debut album in New York City and Nashville, as well as playing multiple instruments on the record. Jones released the album, Fallen Flower, in January 2011. She followed another three albums the following year quickly. Jones became the host of Art & Soul, a radio show on SiriusXM's Coffee House that interviews musicians on their music and songwriting in 2013.

In 2017, she opened for Zac Brown Band and in 2018 Jimmy Buffett. She became signed to his Mailboat Records through Buffett, and she also worked with Buffett on a project.

Jones was named as one of Rolling Stone's top ten must-know new country artists in 2017 and one of 15completing artists by Billboard in 2018. Bare Feet was first introduced by Jones in March 2018. Jones wrote all of the songs on the record, which was created by Ric Wake. She was ranked as one of Connecticut Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 in 2019.

For the week ending June 1, 2019, Jones' single "Chasin' Me" made it to the Mediabase country charts at No. 50.
