Alex Márta (born 6 June 1984), also known as ByeAlex on stage, is a Hungarian indie pop singer, writer, and novelist.
He appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, with the song "Kedvesem," which came in 10th place in the final.
ByeAlex' debut novel zsséb ('and the Slepp') was published in Hungary in 2014, referring to the following musicians playing with Alex: Szeifert Bált - bass guitar, vocals, Tóth G. Early life and career
ByeAlex was born in Kisvárda. He began singing at an early age. He went to school in Fényeslitke and went on to study at the Bessenyei György Highschool in Kisvárda. He earned a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Miskolc. He became well-known after winning A Dal, Hungary's national selection competition for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013. With the song Kedvesem, he then represented Hungary. He returned to A Dal for the 2018 edition, composing the music and lyrics for H Y P N O T Z E D, a solo performance by Roland Gulyas.
