Burton C. Bell Career

Career

Bell was in the band Hateface prior to his appearance in Fear Factory. Dino Cazares, his housemate, in 1989, invited him to talk with a drummer (Raymond Herrera) to see if he could work with. Bell, Cazares, Herrera, and Romero jammed for the first time in a studio in South Los Angeles on October 31, 1990. The group released four studio albums before Fear Factory was disbanded for a brief period of time in 2002. Christian Olde Wolbers, bass to guitar, and Byron Stroud on bass were all members of the band when they reformed in 2004. Two albums were released by this line-up. Cazares and Bell patched up their differences over the following period of inactivity, and in 2009, Fear Factory regained form.

Bell was the only member of every Fear Factory preview from 1991 to their tenth studio album Aggression Continuum (2021).

Bell and Cazares were among the Revolving Golden Gods Icon award recipients in 2012.

Bell declared on September 28, 2020 that he had left the band, citing "consistent representations and unfounded allegations from previous and present band members" as the reason for the ongoing conflict between himself and Cazares. However, his vocals appear on their tenth studio album Aggression Continuum, which had been released in 2017 but not until 2021.

Bell performed "Replica" with a group of Australian musicians in Sydney on June 16-2021. It came after he'd performed a DJ set at a local venue.

Bell joined Ascension of the Watchers in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, following Fear Factory's absence in 2002. In 2005, the Watchers introduced Iconoclast, an online-only EP. Ascension of the Watchers launched their first full-length album Numinosum on February 19, 2008 through Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen's record label 13th Planet.

Bell revived Ascension of the Watchers in February 2017 and began recording at Northstone Studios, South Wales, working with Welsh solo artist Jayce Lewis. The pair recorded Apocrypha, a new album titled Apocrypha and dissembling it with Bell's description of Lewis as a Musical Soulmate.

In addition to being lead vocalists on G/Z/R's Plastic Planet album, which was released in 1995, Bell has appeared on several albums. Bell was not the vocalist on G/Z/R's second album, Black Science, due to his commitments with Fear Factory.

Bell, a fellow bandmate of Dino Cazares, appeared on Soulfly's "Eye for an Eye" in 1998. Bell was featured as a guest vocalist on the Apartment 26 song "Void," a bonus track from their debut album Hallucinating in 2000.

Bell recorded a track for UK metal band This Is Menace, but it was later cut out of the final version of the album No End in Sight. Bell performed live in the encore segments of the Ministry 2008 Tour, performing songs such as "Stigmata," "Thieves" and "So What" as Al Jourgensen's vocal duties.

Bell co-founded City of Fire in August 2009, along with Byron Stroud.

Bell appears on Delain's 2012 album We Are the Others, providing vocals for the song "Where Is the Blood."

Bell was featured on Chris Vrenna's album "I Am the One" and is supposed to appear on the album "Uncertain Attraction to All Things Uncertain." Bell's song was only to be included in a DVD when Vrenna reedited the album.

On the 20th anniversary of Pitchshifter's "United Kingdom" re-recording, Bell provided backing vocals.

Does Amerikkkant have a guest vocalist from 2017. Ministry of Agriculture and Tourism, France's Amerikkkant, Bell from 2017-2018 did guest vocals on Amerikkkant.
