Beginning as a child actress, she is known for her roles on the television series Men of a Certain Age and The Magicians, and for the film Dear White People.

She won a Peabody Award for her work on Men of a Certain Age.

Life and career

Curran was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and he has also lived in other parts of the Massachusetts area, such as Avon, Marstons Mills, Cape Cod, and Hingham. She performed in plays and later studied ballet, jazz, tap, and violin, as well as being involved in summer theatre as an infant.

Curran made her screen debut on an episode of the sketch comedy series MADtv in 2001 at eleven years old. She went on to appear in the television series Drake & Josh, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The Upgrade Life of Zack & Cody, Ghost Whisperer, The Young and the Restless, and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Curran played Lucy Tranelli in the TNT comedy-drama series Men of a Certain Age, the daughter of Ray Romano's character, in 2009. In 2011, she was nominated for the Best Achievement in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) – Supporting Young Actress for her role in the series. After two seasons, the series was cancelled in 2011.

Curran appeared in the films 13: Going on 30, Akeelah and the Bee. The Haunting Hour: Don't Forget It, The Uninvited, Legally Blondes, and Dear White People. In 2012, she appeared in the film Backmask (renamed Exeter before publication), directed by Marcus Nispel. Phoebe Daly, a recurring character on ABC Family's Twisted, appeared in 2013.

She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, in June 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in American Literature & Culture.

Curran appeared on The Magicians on SyFy, playing Fen, Eliot's Fillorian wife. For season 3 of the series, she was promoted to series regular.
