Brad Peyton (born May 27, 1978) is a Canadian film director, writer, and producer best known for directing the Dwayne Johnson star vehicles Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012), San Andreas (2015), Rampage (2018), and Daybreak (2019–).
Life and career
Peyton was born in Gander, Newfoundland, and Labrador, Canada. He obtained his diploma from the Canadian Film Centre. Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl (2002), his father first came to fame with a short film and gothic comedic comedy. The film was first shown to Peyton's classmates, who clapped in recognition. Peyton would then film the film to a lawyer in New York, according to filmmaker Jeremy Podeswa. This enabled the film to be widely distributed within the filmmaking world. Evelyn appeared in the Toronto International Film Festival in 2002.

Peyton was announced on February 10, 2017 that the forthcoming disaster film, Black Hole, will be directed, write, and produce it. In March 2017, Peyton would produce a film version of the video game game series Just Cause, with Jason Momoa set to star.
Peyton was credited as the executive producer, writer, producer, and co-creator of Netflix's Daybreak, a Netflix post-apocalyptic comedy film. On October 24, 2019, the series premiered.
